Introduction to Reyad Sekh Em
Developed by Joanna Bristow-Watkins, Reyad Sekh Em evolved from Tera Mai™ Reiki and Seichem, a system originally devised by Kathleen Milner.
Reyad Sekh Em utilises colour, sound vibration, crystalline and elemental angelic energies and brings together the elemental energies in a non-intrusive, but powerful combination. Reyad Sekh Em includes Reiki energy, which Joanna considers to be from the Earth and Air elements only, but also the combined elemental healing energies of Water, Fire and Ether (Spirit). Reyad Sekh Em heals more deeply and with greater balance, bringing about true harmony on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
The Egyptian five pointed star represented the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.
1. Earth energy is grounding and foundational; fundamental to all other healing rays.
2. Water energy is gentle, persistent and cool, aiding emotional healing.
3. Fire energy 'burns' through blockages, balancing the electro-magnetic field.
4. Air energy ray aids communication and difficulties with respiration.
5. Ether (Spirit) facilitates psychic surgery where appropriate
What does Seichem mean?
Traditional Seichem Masters claim that their knowledge is derived from the same ancient Sanskrit texts where Dr. Usui found the Reiki information. The spelling of Seichem, Sekh Em, SKHM is purely arbitrary. Ancient Egyptians did not have any vowels in their alphabet so S KH M was just a series of guttural sounds and the spelling in our English language is just to reflect the pronunciation.
Joanna Bristow-Watkins worked with Abd El Hakim Awyan (Hakim for short), an indigenous Khemitian mentor, in a line of oral tradition and wisdom keepers living by the Sphinx and the Pyramids in Giza. He believed that the Sekh Em spelling best indicates the way this healing art should be pronounced. Sekh Em is listed in Middle Egyptian dictionaries as make complete or power. Se Khem - another alternative spelling - would mean born of Khemit.
Reyad means Elemental, like a little piece of Heaven - the source of the Cosmic Spirit - Chi, Prana or whatever we wish to call it.
Reyad Sekh Em sessions in West London
Healing is a gentle, relaxing therapy that engenders a feeling of wellbeing in the recipient. It will also target specific areas of the body, as required. A full treatment lasts about two hours. The recipient lies fully clothed on a treatment couch. The healer either places her hands lightly on the body, or within the aura, depending on where they are guided by the element being used. The energy will go to the source of the imbalance and not just treat the symptom. Healing helps to restore vitality and energy and assists self-recovery from many aches, pains, disorders and diseases. There are no contra-indications to receiving Reyad Sekh Em and because it is non-manipulative, it complements all other forms of therapy and natural health care.
